Almost everything! Chat, file operations, semantic search, slash commands, rules, and the Issue Board are all free. The only paid feature is MCP server integrations for connecting external tools.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets you connect external tools and services to Hydrate. For example, you could connect a web browser, calculator, or custom API. This is a Pro feature because it requires additional infrastructure to manage server connections.
Custom views let you transform your markdown files into interactive React interfaces. Describe what you want in chat—card layouts, timelines, dashboards—and Hydrate generates the view code instantly. Views hot-reload as you iterate. This is a Max feature.
That depends on your provider and usage. Typical costs range from $0.01-0.10 per conversation. Check OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google's pricing pages for current rates. We don't add any markup.
Yes. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period, then move to the free tier. Your data and settings stay intact.
